My Favorite Books
An ardent Sci-Fi fan, I can remember reading "The Sentinel" a short story by Arthur C Clarke well before the film 2001 A Space Oddessy was based on it. A full blown Trekkie, if I had the money I would be at all the conventions but not as Spock, my little stubby fingers won't form the "V" sign, probably as "Scottie" I've got the "Ah canna hold it much longer Captain, she's going to blow!" off perfectly.
Another favorite author is James A Mitchener, his "The Covenant" about Southern Africa is probably the best book I have read. That or "Puckoon" by Spike Milligan, an absolute howler. If you did buy "Puckoon" never, I repeat, never lend it to anyone. You will NOT get it back. I've bought it three times.
